Miasolé, a leader in the development of thin film solar products, announced today the appointment of Dr. David Smith to the role of Vice President.

Dr. Smith, a 14-year veteran of the Semiconductor Capital equipment industry, was most recently with Novellus Systems as the Senior VP of Corporate R&D.

products.”

Prior to joining Miasolé, Dr. Smith was Vice President and General Manager at Novellus’ Physical Vapor Deposition, Plasma Enhanced CVD and Electroplating Business Units.

Dr. Smith additionally spent eight years in technical and business leadership roles at Applied Materials and at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Dr. Smith holds a Ph. D. in chemistry from Cal Tech as well as a B.S. in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
